ICU SPONSORS CFA INSTITUTE RESEARCH CHALLENGE IN UKRAINE 2018-2019

ICU, an independent asset management, private equity and investment advisory firm specialising in Central and Eastern Europe, today announces its sponsorship of the CFA Institute Research Challenge in Ukraine 2019, an annual competition that promotes best practices in equity research among the next generation of analysts in Ukraine. ICU is also the main partner for the challenge and this year, ICU will award the top scorer this year with a grant to cover all exams-related expense for the CFA exam.

Each student participant in the competition will be tested on their analytic, valuation, report writing and presentation skills and gain invaluable work experience in the role of a research analyst through hands-on mentoring and intensive training.

The challenge is run in collaboration with the CFA Society Ukraine which brings together more than 200 representatives of the investment profession within the country. The organization is non-governmental, non-for-profit, run by volunteers and is part of the worldwide network of Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) societies that are member societies of CFA Institute.

The winning teams will travel to Zurich on 10 – 11 April 2019 to compete in the EMEA Regional Final against teams from 30 other countries.

ICU’s sponsorship is part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that promote best practice in the next generation of financial services professionals in Ukraine. As part this initiative, ICU has a strategic partnership with Kyiv School of Economics and supports all their student-focused initiatives in this regard.

Makar Paseniuk, Managing Partner, ICU, said:
